What You Say About Us

Stayed at this B&B for 3 nights – nothing was too much trouble for Kate and her team. The view is stunning looking down over Mawgan Porth bay, breakfast was excellent – so much choice we didn’t know what to choose each morning.

We will go again – we loved it!

Room Tip: rooms at the back have the best view

How to describe perfection?
I’ve stayed in some of the “best” hotels in the world, and not been made to feel as welcome as when I stayed with Kate, Oz and their team.
There is so much to recommend and enthuse about here.
The dramatic scenery and the location – the beautiful shabby chic decor. Comfortable rooms, beautiful bathrooms and fittings. Breakfast… WOW, so much choice and beautifully cooked, presented and served.
The lounge (with honesty bar), is of particular note, comfortable, beautifully furnished and with THAT view.. amazing.
Nothing was too much trouble for Kate the owner, even arranging for me to extend my stay at very short notice, and moving all my gear to another room themselves as I was working…
I’ve tried hard to think of any room for improvement, but I honestly can’t find a single thing.
Am already planning a trip with friends to stay here for leisure, rather than business, so that I can enjoy more of the facilities and hospitality.
Brilliant!

Room Tip: Go for a beach view room, the views are STUNNING!

We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful b&b set above the bay of Mawgan Porth. The whole place is absolutely immaculate and Kate has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay, from the delicious flapjacks and coffees in the room, to the honesty bar with a selection of spirits, wines and crisps, to the lovely toiletries in the room..not to mention the chocolates at bedtime when they turn the beds down! This is not your normal b&b! Breakfast is superb with wonderful healthy choices together with a delicious Cornish cooked breakfast with not a spot of grease in sight. The tomatoes are so sweet and the potato cakes just great! There is a stunning lounge to sit and relax in with a picture window overlooking the bay. The room was comfortable and spotless and beautifully decorated, with a great power shower en suite.
You can walk down to the village and bay or up the hill to the local pub where they serve great food and it is very clean and friendly. We had a lovely stay and will definitely recommend Seavista to everyone!

Just spent the weekend at Seavista. What a beautiful little gem. Kate had though of every little detail to make our stay comfortable right down to the homemade flapjack in our room. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and can’t wait to go back!

My friend and I visited this wonderful little place for a girly weekend away, and I couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The whole building was immaculate and pristine and beautiful, with so many little touches that really didn’t go unnoticed. Our room was gorgeous and the sea view from the bed was unbelievable. I want to go back right now!

This is the third time we have stayed at Seavista within the last ten months which I believe speaks volumes. We stayed in room 3 which is a large and beautifully decorated room with fabulous views across Mawgan Porth and out to sea. Kate was as welcoming as ever and even decorated our table at breakfast time for a birthday surprise. Our cooked breakfast was superb and our little one enjoyed the waffle. We would thoroughly recommend Seavista.

- Valley View Double Room

Bother not looking anywhere else if you want a family friendly B and B suited for young, old and surfer dudes!

We enjoyed 2 nights in their recently completed 3 aspect top floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment and it was unbelievable. Kate, from start to end was so helpful and friendly including recommending dinner on Wednesday night in a place only to be discovered and mentioned……you’ll have to ask Kate!

Room Tip: Sea views, friendly staff

My family was very lucky to be one of the first guests to stay in the newly added Loft apartment at Seavista. In fact we were the second only guests to benefit from this excellent space.

I enquired about 2 B&B rooms several months ago but was offered the chance to stay in the yet to be completed ‘Loft’. I was so glad that I went for this option. The front door opens up into an extremely spacious open plan living area with well appointed lounge, dining area and exceptional kitchen fitted with Smeg fridge-freezer and range oven. The Loft comes complete with full size dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer & drying cupboard. The lounge boasts a huge window offering spectacular views of the bay at Mawgan Porth, but if views aren’t your thing the large smart TV is a great feature.

Leading out of the living area you enter a hallway which leads to the first bedroom. This is a good sized twin room with its own bathroom (complete with bath and underfloor heating). Further along is the master bedroom. This is a beautiful and spacious room with a double bed and en-suite shower room. There is more than enough storage in both rooms to comfortably unpack for a two week holiday. Both rooms also share that same magnificent view of the bay below.

The whole of the Loft has been finished to an extremely high standard using a blend of cutting edge design whilst keeping with the Cornish look and feel which Seavista delivers in buckets.

Accommodation of this quality needs service to match and on this the Seavista team led by Kate delivers 110%. Every member of the Seavista team I interacted with before and during our stay was simply superb. Delightful, friendly, helpful and distinctly aware of what great customer service is.

The little touches but significant gesture like the welcome pack we received when entering the Loft was superb. A selection of cake and biscuit treats to complement the already supplied tea and coffee, but the bread, milk and eggs to get us on our way for breakfasts; brilliant and very gratefully received. The honesty bar in the main lounge is also a great touch and one my youngest daughter couldn’t wait to take advantage of!

Finally, breakfast. Surely this couldn’t be brilliant too? Well it was. Absolutely one of the best breakfast offerings around. Greeted by friendly staff who see it as a pleasure to serve you, the menu offers the full ‘Cornish’ breakfast which I can highly recommend, but they also offer excellent waffles which were a special during our stay and were taken up by my daughters who rated them extremely highly indeed. They are freshly prepared to order and were obviously homemade and fresh. A brilliant offering for teen diners. The smoothies they enjoyed were also great and a good way to get some vitamins into the waffle based breakfast. I also enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on my last day, this too was excellent. The dining room itself is a really pleasantly designed area and the service is very relaxed – perfect for holiday breakfast time.

I will be back, it’s just finding the opportunity to make it back down to Cornwall again. But based on this experience, I will be planning a special trip with my family simply to stay at Seavista again. Exceptional in every way.

As a rough guide, Newquay airport is about 5-10 mins away but there was no plane noise at all during our stay. Watergate bay is a 2 min drive, Newquay around 10 minutes and Truro 45 mins.
